Hocker" ------------------------------------------------------- Sounds like a paraphrase of what Doshu says in his small book "The Spirit of Aikido" when he was describing the difference between Judo and Aikido. The former is "if pushed, pull ; if pulled, push". The later was "if pushed, turn and circle ; if pulled, enter while circling". Jist of which I gather was that aikido was less linear in form. What I just said is a lousy paraphrase from memory. His words were much better than mine. So if you have a beef with this, please go read the book first. I of course personally don't agree with the attitude towards ki expressed in the book but it is still a good book worth a read.
